Questions people actually ask

Straight answers.

What counts as a big build?

Anything they have to design from scratch — a house shaped like a cartoon character, a dragon, a rocket. Cog thinks for a few minutes and draws it themselves, and that is the part with a real cost behind it. Roads, towers, houses, terrain, redstone and games are not big builds and are not counted.

What happens if we run out?

Nothing breaks. Cog keeps doing everything else, and asks whether you want to add more. Building another copy of something they have already designed never counts, however many you ask for.

Can we make it ours?

That is rather the point. Cog is only the name and face it arrives with. Rename it to whatever your world wants, drop in any Minecraft skin so it looks like whoever you like, and set how it behaves — chatty or quiet, cheeky or straight down the line, asking before big builds or just getting on with them. Every world gets its own.

Do my friends need to pay?

No. Only the person who owns the world pays. Everybody else opens Minecraft the way they always do and join.

Do we need to buy Minecraft?

Yes — everybody joining needs their own copy of Minecraft Java Edition. Cubelings is the world and the builder in it, not the game itself.

Can we stop?

Any time, from your account, without talking to anybody. Your world is yours: you can download the whole thing and keep it.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. A world of your own for a fortnight, with Cog in it and two friends able to join, and no card. If you do not pick a plan at the end of it, the world simply stops — nothing gets charged and nothing needs cancelling.

Come and have a look first.

Nothing on this site is a mock-up. Every build in the examples is standing in a world right now, and every number under it was read back out of that world afterwards.
